Anti-authoritarian solidarity with Ukraine: against imperialism, for the freedom of peoples.
The criminal invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin’s authoritarian regime is a brutal act of imperialism and state authoritarianism. For us, who fight daily against all forms of domination and oppression, our condemnation of this aggression is clear and unequivocal. This is not a matter of uncritically siding with one state against another, but of standing with the oppressed and the popular resistance against militaristic violence and the logic of power.
Russian authoritarianism: our enemy
The Russian regime is not a “lesser evil” or a counterweight, but a ferocious apparatus of power based on internal repression, toxic nationalism, and aggressive expansion. The war in Ukraine is the most bloody manifestation of this dynamic. We cannot remain indifferent while a people is subjugated and its aspirations for autonomy and freedom are crushed under the tracks of an imperial army. Supporting the Ukrainian resistance is an act of anti-militarist and anti-authoritarian consistency. It means opposing a political project that aims to destroy the self-organization and dignity of a people, replacing them with the diktat of a leader and a state apparatus.
Active and material solidarity: arming the resistance
Our solidarity is not abstract, but translates into the firm conviction that the Ukrainian people must be provided with all the logistical and military means necessary to defend themselves against brutal and disproportionate aggression. While maintaining our radical criticism of the Ukrainian state (its neoliberalism and contradictions) and rejecting any logic of power blocs, we recognize that in a context of existential attack, self-defense is an inalienable right.
Popular resistance and grassroots self-defense require effective tools to survive the imperial assault. We demand that these means be made available immediately and unconditionally, so that the struggle against the invader can continue.
Support for anti-authoritarian groups
Many Ukrainian anarchist, libertarian socialist, and anti-fascist comrades have chosen to take part in the resistance, both on the front lines and through grassroots humanitarian and logistical aid (such as the Solidarity Collectives or Radical Aid Force). We support their networks, which seek to build horizontal and self-managed links in society, far from corruption and state hierarchies.
Direct humanitarian and logistical aid
Our priority is to provide direct material support to those who need it most: medicine, equipment, food, support for refugees and deserters. This aid is delivered through non-governmental and self-managed channels, ensuring that it reaches the communities and fighters who are resisting directly.
The struggle is unique: against all tyranny
Ukraine is now on the front line of a global struggle against authoritarianism and imperialism. Defending a society from the aggression of a dictatorship is a point of no return for those who believe in freedom.
Supporting the Ukrainian resistance means:
- Denouncing Russian imperialism as a threat to the freedom and autonomy of peoples.
- Ensuring full material and military support for the self-defense of the Ukrainian people.
- Maintaining critical independence from all state powers and international power blocs.
- Promoting internationalism: our solidarity knows no national boundaries. The struggle in Ukraine reminds us that freedom is never guaranteed and that the main enemy is always authority, in whatever form it manifests itself.
Our support is for the life, autonomy, and freedom of the Ukrainian people.
For a world without states, without war, and without masters. Solidarity with the Ukrainian popular resistance! Abolish all borders, war on capital and the state!
