Here you can find the full audio recording of the meeting with Mira from Solidarity Collectives. The meeting was held on Friday 23 January at the “Centro delle donne” (Women’s Centre) in Bologna, thanks to the collaboration between Associazione Orlando (Feminist and Women’s Association), Solidarity Collectives and the NaRyna association.
After a thorough and necessary introduction on the context of transfeminist action in Russia and post-Soviet countries such as Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Mira from Solidarity Collectives shared her experience as a feminist anarchist activist before the “Great War” and the path that led her to support the armed resistance of LGBT volunteers, transfeminists and libertarian groups.
This is a rare opportunity to debate with comrades who are directly experiencing the war in Ukraine, a moment to reflect on the stereotypes that still dominate the debate in large parts of the Western European left wing, as well as on issues that are necessarily controversial, the questioning of dogmas and certainties in a context of collective survival, of resistance to the annihilation of one’s identity (gender, cultural, political).
The conversation is mainly in Italian and Ukrainian. We count to make a transcription and a translation soon.
