As part of the activities that the Alliance promotes, supports and actively collaborates with to support political prisoners in Russia (many of whom, we should remember, are anti-fascists) and opponents of the regime, we are sharing this initiative, organised by the Associazione Russi Liberi Torino. Below is their announcement:
“On Friday, 30 October, the Association of Free Russians in Turin is organising a screening of the documentary PolitZek by Manon Loizeau and Ekaterina Mamontova. The film, made by a Russian and a French director, tells the stories of Russian political prisoners through the testimonies of their family members.
The movie is in English, while the participants’ first-hand testimonies are in Russian with English subtitles.
After the screening, there will be a discussion, during which attendees will have the opportunity to share their impressions and ask the activists questions. We will also explain how to take part in the letter-writing evenings organised by our association every month. The film will help people understand how important it is to support political prisoners.
We look forward to seeing you at 8:00 pm at Casa del Quartiere di San Salvario (via Oddino Morgari 14).”
The movie is in original languages with Italian subtitles.
